Get ready to brawl with characters, special powers, weapons, moves and features from all walks of Nintendo universes in this mighty game. While playing, you may encounter a musical score, weird item or character from another Nintendo video game. Customize this game by choosing the frequency of items appearing and music to play the game as you want. Throughout play, you'll see 35 characters like Mario, Samus, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Kirby, Meta Knight, Pikachu, Link, Zelda, Pit, Solid Snake, Wario and many more. Play in either multi-player or solo storyline modes:
- Multi-player: Duke it out with various characters. Pick characters, set the rules and locations for brawls, then duke it out. Use the Wii's Wi-Fi Connection to play with registered friends or random participants through online play.
- Solo mode: Aka "The Subspace Emissary." The Smash Bros. world has been invaded by the Ancient Minister and his army. All characters must join forces to defeat these invading monsters from Subspace. Play happens through a long, side-scrolling adventure as you beat up enemies and watch video clips of favorite characters.
