Gift Card Troubleshooting
Trouble Redeeming a Gift Card
If you're receiving an error message that says the gift card cannot be used, this usually happens because the gift card value has already been redeemed with a previous purchase.
If the balance available on the gift card is insufficient to cover the total purchase, apply another gift card or use a credit card to complete your purchase. You may apply up to 4 gift cards to one order.
To confirm the funds available on your gift card, view your gift card balance.
If this isn't the problem, check the Terms & Conditions to make sure your order meets the rules and restrictions for paying with a gift card.

Finding a Gift Card Balance
You can check your gift card balance here or in My Account.
When paying for an online order with a gift card, you will see the gift card balance reflected in the gift card summary. If the balance doesn't display as epected, please contact us. If your order total is more than your gift card balance, you'll need to pay for the rest with a credit card.Website or store tells me that my Gift Card is not active
If your gift card does not appear to be active, please contact us.
Using a Gift Card on other websites
Your Bon-Ton gift card may be used at the following websites:

For your convenience, all of these websites will recognize when you have an existing online shopping account.
Deleted or Lost Gift Cards
If you accidentally deleted or lost a gift card, please contact us with the following information:
- order number (if possible)
- purchaser's name and recipient's name
- physical or email address to which the gift card was sent
We'll contact you by email once we've canceled the original gift card and issued a new one.
Gift Card Didn't Arrive
The action you'll take will vary depending on the gift card type:
Emailed Gift Cards
Gift Cards may take up to several hours to be delivered to the recipient’s email inbox.
If you purchased an email gift card that doesn't arrive, please contact us with the following information:
- order number (if possible)
- purchaser's name and recipient's name
- email address to which the gift card was sent
We'll contact you by email once we've canceled the original gift card and issued a new one.
Some email providers give users the option of blocking all email messages that originate outside of their domain. You may want to check with your recipient to make sure their email is configured to accept emails from shopbonton.com.
Physical Gift Cards
If you purchased physical Bon-Ton Gift Cards through the Shopping Cart, you can view all order details, including the shipment tracking information, My Account.
If your gift card order doesn't arrive within the expected timeframe, please contact us.
Gift Card Code or PIN Can't Be Read
If your gift card code or PIN scratched off or can't be clearly read, please contact us with the 16-digit number on the back or inside of the card.
